Bethany’s Birthday Breakfast
FamilyWe loved celebrating Bethany’s birthday this morning over a Cajun Creole Market Hash at the French Hen Cafe. As new parents, time to spend together alone is hard to come by so we savor these times together. Conversation, coffee and a delicious breakfast are the best way to start a day!
Starting a Family Blog
FamilyDuring a long road trip recently, I reflected on the various ways of sharing photos with family and friends. There are all kinds of apps and services designed for this purpose but I have encountered two problems. First, many photo sharing services require getting family and friends involved in the particular service and trying to get people to adapt to new workflow habits is rather difficult in my experience.
The second problem is that many ways of sharing photos, books, gifts, etc., require designing a finished product, providing less flexibility for sharing along the way. This reflection led me all the way back to a good old blog as a way to share photos along our journey and to provide a place for family and friends who want to stop by to check in on what’s going on in our lives.
Now that we’ve decided to give this a try, here’s two pictures I took of Havana playing in her little jumper last night and lighting up when she saw me coming.
